  1. Welcome to the Collector, a great way to organize and maintain
  2. your collections, inventories and archives.  The Collector allows you to 
  3. create as many collections as you like, and gives you many ways to Sort, 
  4. Access, Query and Print your collections.  Defining the name of each of the fifteen data
  5. fields, allows you to create individualized collections.  Pick Lists can be 
  6. created to save common words for quick data input.  Voice Notes allow you to
  7. attach an audio message to each image in your collection.  Each collection 
  8. can be assigned a password so that you can protect your records.
  9.  
  10. The Collector allows you to save your images in most file formats including
  11. TIFF, PCX, JPEG, TGA, BMP, WMP, DIB, DCX, EPS, GIFF and PICT.

  13. To install the Collector: 
  14.  
  15. 1. Locate SETUP.EXE in the temporary unzip directory.
  16. 2. Run SETUP.EXE and specify the destination directory.
  17. 3. The Collector will be installed and Setup will create a Program Group
  18.    and Icon.

  22. 15/08/96 - Fixed record count problem

  24. 28/08/96 - Fixed dissapearing records - they were still there but when you
  25.            selected sort by other than default, records with blank fields
  26.            would not show up.

  28. 28/08/96 - Fixed query so that images are displayed correctly when you select
  29.            a query record.  Records need to be re-saved to enact this fix.

  31. 28/08/96 - A version will be released that supports long file names.  Currently
  32.            if your images are stored in long file name directories, the collector
  33.            wont find them.
